They have not yet decided whether the event will be postponed or cancelled.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The\u00a0MELGES 24 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS<\/strong>\u00a0(1-9 May, Charleston),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.melges24.com\/news\/cancellation-2020-melges-24-world-championship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">have been cancelled<\/a>\u00a0but might finally\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.melges24.com\/news\/possibility-holding-melges-24-worlds-miami-late-2020-under-consideration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">be held at the end of the year<\/a>\u00a0in Miami.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The CORSICA MED<\/strong>\u00a0(scheduled start on May 4 from Marseille)\u00a0<strong>has been postponed<\/strong>\u00a0by a year for IRC, while Mini Med, which was part of the event, could take place as part of the Duo Max (starts on 17\u00a0June).<\/li>\n<li><strong>The\u00a0GRAND PRIX DE LA ROCHELLE<\/strong>\u00a0(May 7-10 in Diam 24)\u00a0<strong>has been postponed<\/strong>, the\u00a0new date should be known next Monday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The GASCOGNE\u00a045\/5<\/strong>, the last qualifying race for the Transquadra, for which the start was to be on May 7 in La Rochelle,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/srr-sailing.com\/web\/s\/11919\/45.5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">was postponed to 11 June<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The EUROPEAN ORC CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong>\u00a0(16th \u2013 22nd May, Naples-Capri)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rolexcaprisailingweek.com\/en\/notice-number-5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has been postponed<\/a>\u00a0for a year (15th-21st May 2021).<\/li>\n<li><strong>The TRANSPAC TAHITI RACE<\/strong>, which was due to start on 28th May from Los Angeles with the finish in Tahiti,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.transpac-tahiti.com\/transpac-tahiti-race-postponed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has been postponed<\/a>. The organiser is looking at some other dates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The ATLANTIC CUP<\/strong>\u00a0(5th-21st June), a race reserved for Class40 boats,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticcup.org\/news\/2020cancelled\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">will not be taking place<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SAILGP<\/strong>\u00a0has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/info-sailgp.com\/4ZLB-BMV0-272I6TH7DC\/cr.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suspended its 2020 season<\/a>\u00a0through the end of June. As a result, New York SailGP will not take place on June 12-13 as scheduled.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The BOL D&#8217;OR MIRABAUD<\/strong>\u00a0(13th \u2013 14th June)\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boldormirabaud.ch\/en-ch\/news\/2020-03-30-the-2020-bol-d-or-mirabaud-is-canceled\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has been cancelled<\/a>. The 2021 edition is scheduled for 11th to 13th June.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The 2020 WORLD CUP SERIES FINAL<\/strong>\u00a0(14th-21st June, Enoshima)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sailing.org\/news\/89942.php#.XodTCdMzY1h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has been cancelled<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The 2020 YACHT RACING FORUM<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/ec42fd151c50\/yacht-racing-forum-2020-portsmouth-uk-conference-update?e=28883fba66\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">remains in place<\/a>\u00a0for 23rd-24th November in Portsmouth, but a final decision will be taken in mid-June.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The TOKYO OLYMPICS<\/strong>\u00a0will take place\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympic.org\/news\/ioc-ipc-tokyo-2020-organising-committee-and-tokyo-metropolitan-government-announce-new-dates-for-the-olympic-and-paralympic-games-tokyo-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">from 23rd July to 8th August 2021<\/a>, following an announcement from the IOC with the Paralympic Games scheduled for 24th August to 5th September in the same year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>[DEPARTURES &amp; NOMINATIONS]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>KHAMIS AL JABRI<\/strong>\u00a0has been appointed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.omansail.com\/archives\/78085\/oman-sail-appoints-new-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new CEO<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>Oman Sail<\/strong>\u00a0from 1st April.
