CHRISTOPHE LHUISSIER<\/strong><\/a>, student in architecture and naval engineering at Ensa Nantes, graduated from Icam Nantes (general engineer training) and having worked 8 years as project manager in the construction industry,\u00a0is looking for<\/a>\u00a0an end-of-studies internship ( 5 months between July 2021 and July 2022) in the middle of ocean racing.<\/p>\n

ANNOUCEMENTS & PARTNERSHIPS<\/span><\/h2>\n

J\u00c9R\u00c9MIE BEYOU<\/strong>\u00a0and his partner\u00a0CHARAL<\/strong>\u00a0announced\u00a0the renewal<\/a>\u00a0for four years of their partnership, on Tuesday. It now runs until 2026. The skipper will have a new boat, designed by Sam Manuard, the construction of which has just started at CDK Technologies in Lorient, and which will be launched in June 2022.<\/p>\n

ARK\u00c9A<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0PAPREC\u00a0<\/strong>have announced that they are starting\u00a0a campaign for the Vend\u00e9e Globe 2024<\/a>, with the launch, at the beginning of 2022, of a “common offshore racing structure”, the management of which will be entrusted to Romain M\u00e9nard (who has long been worked with Jean-Pierre Dick). Studies on the feasibility of a new boat will also be launched,\u00a0S\u00e9bastien Simon will no longer be the skippe<\/strong>r after the end of the current season.<\/p>\n

CORENTIN DOUGUET<\/strong>\u00a0has announced\u00a0the launch of the construction<\/a>\u00a0of a\u00a0Class40<\/strong>\u00a0for the Route du Rhum 2022, at V1D2 in Caen. It will be a Lombard design that will be launched in November 2021.<\/p>\n

ERIC P\u00c9RON<\/strong>\u00a0has announced\u00a0the acquisition<\/a>\u00a0of the former\u00a0Ocean Fifty<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Gilles Lamir\u00e9 (which is the ex Prince de Bretagne, launched in 2009) with a view to his participation in 2022 in the Pro Sailing Tour and the Route du Rhum for which he is looking for a title partner.<\/p>\n

AKZONOBEL<\/strong>\u00a0have confirmed\u00a0their participation<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0The Ocean Race Europe<\/strong>\u00a0in the VO65 with a crew led by the Australian Chris Nicholson<\/p>\n

WORLD SAILING’S BOARD<\/strong>\u00a0has preselected\u00a0three alternative events<\/a>\u00a0to the mixed doubles offshore racing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: a split between men and women kiting and the mixed 470 and a mixed team racing in ILCA 6. The final vote on the two events which, as well as the mixed offshore option will be offered to the IOC, will take place at the World Sailing Council on May 14.<\/p>\n
