Vendée Globe : les dernières infos Tip & Shaft

As the thirteenth week of the Vendée Globe draws to a close – following the retirement of Arnaud Boissières, 11 sailors remain at sea on Friday – Tip & Shaft spoke to the president of the Imoca class, Antoine Mermod, who shares his views on the tenth edition of the race.

12th four years ago, Clarisse Crémer took 11th place in the Vendée Globe 2024-2025 on Monday after 77 days 15 hours and 34 minutes. She then set course for La Rochelle, with the Les Sables channel closed due to storm conditions. Before sailing back up the channel on Saturday, she spoke to Tip & Shaft about her second circumnavigation.

Throughout the Vendée Globe, Tip & Shaft will be analysing the weather and the trajectories of the 40 solo sailors with Loïs Berrehar and Gaston Morvan, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2024, who will be taking turns every other week. Gaston Morvan is at the helm this Friday for the very last chronicle of this Vendée Globe.

For the duration of the Vendée Globe, Tip & Shaft will be decoding the weather and the trajectories of the 40 solo sailors, with Loïs Berrehar and Gaston Morvan, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2024, taking turns every other Friday. Gaston Morvan is at the helm this Friday.

With the arrival, at 1.27 am on Friday, of the third-placed Sébastien Simon, the podium in the Vendée Globe 2024-2025 is complete, with Charlie Dalin having won on Tuesday just under a day ahead of Yoann Richomme. This is an opportunity for Tip & Shaft, present in Les Sables d’Olonne, to draw some initial conclusions from a record race (64 days 19 hours 22 minutes) in the company of a number of experts we met there.
